“While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal.”
The interior of the Roman Colosseum seen from the arena floor, with the exposed brick corridors and chambers of the hypogeum running the length of the frame and tiers of arched seating rising behind. Afternoon sun rakes across the travertine and brickwork, warming it to ochre and rust while the recessed passageways hold deep shadow. Cumulus cloud piles up against a saturated blue sky above the broken upper rim, and visitors line the walkway at the far end for scale.

Developed from an original photograph
It begins with an original photograph by Tom Bartel of a real place. This version was developed from that photograph in our studio, using digital and AI tools guided by the original’s own composition, and these words set over the finished picture. How these are made. The original photograph is sold on its own.
