“Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she places her young near Your altars, O LORD of Hosts, my King and my God. How blessed are those who dwell in Your house! They are ever praising You.”
A male mountain bluebird sits in profile at the lower edge of the frame, feathers puffed against the cold, its dark eye and fine bill sharp against an open field of clear sky. Behind and below, a snow-covered slope falls away into soft blur. Hard winter sunlight rakes across the bird from the right, catching the turquoise crown and breaking the blue of the back into pale, almost metallic highlights.

Developed from an original photograph
It begins with an original photograph by Tom Bartel of a real place. This version was developed from that photograph in our studio, using digital and AI tools guided by the original’s own composition, and these words set over the finished picture. How these are made. The original photograph is sold on its own.
