The story behind the photograph

Taken outside of Yellowstone National Park(north entrance) Came across this eagle in flight but what struck me was the background and got this beautiful bokeh. It enhances the eagle flight motion .”

An adult bald eagle glides low and level above a frozen marsh, wings fully spread and primaries fanned, head turned slightly toward the ground below. Behind it the ice and dead sedge dissolve into a soft wash of mauve and ochre, with a line of bare winter trees standing dim on the far shore. Flat overcast light keeps the whole scene muted, so the white head and tail and the yellow bill carry nearly all the contrast in the frame.

The photograph that inspired this piece

The Wing Held Steady

It begins with an original photograph by Scott C Johnson of a real place. This version was developed from that photograph in our studio, using digital and AI tools guided by the original’s own composition, with no words set on it. How these are made.
